"I've done the best result I could with the conditions this week. I'm super happy"

Mateo Sanz Lanz - Windsurfing finishes 8th of the #Tokyo2020 Olympic Games, with an excellent 3rd place at the Medal Race. Gstaad Yacht Club  windsurfer showed an excellent week in Enoshima! Congratulations to his coach since always Asier Fernandez. Beautiful team work!
“I wanted to finish in the TOP 3 of the Medal Race, with the ten best windsurfers in the World. And I succeeded! I showed once again that I'm one of the fastest, and I'm very happy to bring a diploma for Switzerland. With only one day of strong wind, I could have stayed closer to the top guys and would have had a chance of medal. But with two days of very strong wind, it was too much for me... I did the best result I could with the conditions this week. Performance wise, I showed that I really improved in stronger wind in the past five years. I'm really happy about this ! Now I will enjoy this success, go on holidays a few days and then slowly move to the iQFoil” (next windsurfing class for Paris 2024).
